What is Ready Notify?
Ready Notify is an emergency notification system used by Cuyahoga County and participating municipalities to issue notifications to the public.

The system is currently in the final stages of transitioning vendors. Our new vendor is CodeRED, one of the top vendors within the Emergency Notification System market.  The links on this page are to the new system.  If you have a current CodeRED account, please log on or register using the links provided. 

***All system users are encouraged to re-register on the new system (CodeRed) to enable the new functionality including targeted weather alerts.***

What Type of Notifications Will I receive? 
You can expect to receive notifications about:
  • Emergency Events
  • Cuyahoga County Government News
  • Cuyahoga County Building Closures
  • Water Boil Alerts
  • Safety Messages
  • Other Information

What Type of Information is Required to Register?
Participating in the Ready Notify Program is voluntary. A valid email and phone number will be needed to sign-up. During the registration process we will ask you to give us information about yourself such as your address, your primary language, and if you require any special assistance during an emergency event.

How Will I Receive Messages?
When you sign-up in the system, you will receive emails as well as have the opportunity to choose how you want to receive additional messages. Additional messages can be delivered in the following ways:
  • Cellular Telephone 
  • Home Phone
  • Work Phone 
  •  SMS/Text Messaging
  • Email 
  • Mobile App: CodeRED Mobile Alert App (free download on Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
  • TDD Transmission
